Training & Mobilization
Our work
We conduct regular advocacy programs among rural and urban communities on abuse and exploitation to safeguard the vulnerable communities.
Advocacy programs are conducted on a regular basis to create awareness of the extent of the negligence, exploitation and discrimination in India.
We organized awareness campaigns, speaking tours, interventions with schools, colleges, panchayats and communities.
We are aiming to establish vigilant committees by mobilizing people for justice and training child advocates.
Engaging & Empowering thousands of lives
ovid-19 has paused lives for many, leading to vulnerability across India. Countless reports have stated a constant rise in migration, child labor, and child marriages. Further, Child Line India has reported over 192,000 distress appeals, mostly on child labor and child marriages, in the year 2020.
Seeing this rising concern and vulnerability of the marginalized, Ashray took the initiative to serve the community by conducting speaking tours in West Bengal where resources such as bullhorns and electric rickshaws were utilized.
Through this program, thousands of lives got the opportunity to learn about the current situations and trends of exploitation.
One of the major outcomes of this program was the mobilization of the youths who volunteered to form Vigilant Group in different parts of state.
Ashray has been and is continuing to advocate and build more lives.
