Our work
Building capacity through training and workshop is crucial to achieving our goals. Therefore, Ashray organizes and conducts capacity building workshop and legal training to individuals and communities to improve knowledge and skills against abuse and exploitation.
Through our legal trainings and workshops, we aim to strengthen the involvement of civil society in promoting and securing the rights of children from the Tribal and Dalit communities.
Capacity Building
Ashray organized a legal workshop for community leaders and network partners in the state of Bihar. Through the training program, 60 leaders were inspired to be the voice for the voiceless by exploring the theology of justice. They were also educated on steps of setting up mechanisms towards building and strengthening the forces of community and the state governmental agencies and ways to collaborate about gender discrimination and domestic violence.
In the end, the participants expressed their gratitude for organizing and encouraging them.
Many local leaders have partnered with Ashray against the fight of Human Trafficking and are conducting small awareness meeting in their own influence area by using Ashray’s toolkit.
Ashray capacity building initiatives has been effective, and the local communities have come forward and have agreed to volunteer to fight against trafficking, bringing awareness in their own community and rescuing children.
